I Believe I'm In Love With You - Bonnie Raitt

I don't know what's wrong with me
I've been foolish as a fool can be
Baby, I can't sleep at night
And I lost my appetite
Went to the doctor but he don't know
It's getting to where it ain't funny no more
Tell me baby what I might gonna do
I believe I'm in love with you
I believe I'm in love with you
Tell me baby that you love me, too
I can't fight, baby I decided
I'm in love with you
I guess this time I realize
For you baby I got eyes
Come on baby and give me a chance
All I need is your romance
You're the one I've been trying to find
Baby, baby you're just my kind
I'm telling you baby I'll be true
I believe I'm in love with you
I believe I'm in love with you
Tell me baby that you love me, too
I can't fight, baby I decided
I'm in love with you
I guess this time I realize
For you baby I got eyes
Come on baby and give me a chance
All I need is your romance
You know what I'm tryin' to fight
And I'm telling you, you're just my kind
I'm telling you, baby I'll be true
I believe I'm in love with you
I believe I'm in love with you
Tell me baby that you love me, too
I can't fight, baby I decided
I'm in love with you

I Can't Make You Love Me

WAITING FOR PERFECT
If dreamt
then is it
The note was low
the tempo slow
If wanted
then will it be
The light was red
the game led
If desired
then does it measure
The talk jazzed
the conversation halved
If accepted
then is it perfect

EYES OPEN

Proceeding
to misssteps

Looking
to begin

Hoping
to connection

Expressing
to truth

Longing
to hear

Wanting
to touch

Proceeding
to misssteps

Looking
to continue

Hoping
to bond

Expressing
to undo

Longing
to no end

Wanting
to see

Shenandoah National Park Hike - June 16, 2018

Our hike leader, Jeff, orienting us to our day.

Saturday, we enjoyed Shenandoah's more natural glories by hiking between (and to the top of) the only two peaks above 4000 feet in the entire Park. Temperatures at such exalted heights were excellent in the 70s, 10-15 degrees cooler than down in the sweltering flatlands. Plus, we enjoyed one spectacular overlook after another along the way. We started with the climb from Skyline Drive to the top of Hawksbill (4050 feet).  Then we bumped along the Appalachian Trail to Stony Man (4010 feet). Total length of this moderate-to-strenuous one-way hike was 8 miles, with about 1400 feet of cumulative elevation gain.

The Mountain Laurel hike was cancelled due to storms, but today, we did see blooming laurel.
